Tiger Siesta

'Tiger Siesta' is an original fine art scratchboard drawing in black and white. The image size is 6 in x 4 in. It seems all cats whether large or small like to laze in the sun. This one is sleepy and sated after a large meal. I always enjoy creating the patterns that one finds in nature. In this drawing it was the way the stripes move and meet along the ridge of its back. This entire drawing was done with an exacto blade on black scratchboard. Very fine lines were drawn in layers, slowly building up the detail and highlights. I used tiny dots to bring life to the eyes and to create the nose. (The copyright notice on the images is for protection purposes only. The text does not appear on the original drawing.)
